The Break – free concert – battle of the bands

The forecast is for a perfect afternoon in the park -

 

The Break is a youth Week opening Event for Marrickville Council and is in it’s second year.

The Grand Final of long search across the inner west for the best new acts – these are the finalists and there is plenty at stake to play themselves into a lather ….

The Break is designed to help break new music acts and help them with recording time and exposure … and the usual band shirts supplied by Arcade –

Arcade Live Print and T-shirt smashing interactive will be happening on the day so if you are around they are selling the event shirts hell cheap (under $5) to get people in the community interacting with the print and wearing them around town ….. should be a lot of fun.

Last year’s winner of The Break performed at the Marrickville Festival in October 2011 to a huge crowd and continue to succeed in the local music scene.

The Break is part of Marrickville Council’s Youth Week celebrations. It is a no drug, no alcohol, no smoking event.

Last years winners are going strong after show casing at the Marrickville Festival which was a part of last years prize – this years prizes are bigger and better.

This is the back of the standard tee by DogFight Graphics (find them on our free artists links page) – Alex is a local designer and professional cartoonist with his own t-shirt label.
